Borough Market
(oil)
I love to paint in oils for the richness and suppleness of the medium, and because I like to build my painting as it progresses, rather than plan ahead too much.  A painting can be completed fast if immediacy is wanted, or it can occupy my thoughts and hands for days, weeks or even months.

Watercolour is more immediate, and at the same time more deliberate. I enjoy the excitement of thinking and working fast, and the surprises that watercolour can spring on me! Nothing can beat the delicacy and subtlety of watercolour at its best.

You can see from the examples here how much I love to paint the human figure in any medium. I want to convey the weight and balance of the form, the drama of the human presence, and for you to feel the pose of the figure as you look at my work.

Portraits are a natural for me, and I try to ensure that my sitters enjoy the experience as much as I do. I enjoy portrait and other commissions, including illustration work.

Prices for framed oils or watercolours usually start from £300 depending upon size, although smaller works or drawings can be less. To use or enquire about any of these images please contact me.
